Farm house 'The Farm'
Live like a farmer in a stately farmhouse. Homely and carefully decorated in rural vintage style.
The farm house is surrounded by a beautiful large garden where you can hear the birds chirping.
The farm house is fully equipped and have 5 sleeping rooms. Thus perfeclty suitable for larger groups up to a maximum of 9 guests.
Bathe the wood-fired wooden hot tub* and enjoy under a sky of twinkling stars. (*optional).
On site you can rent bicycles, canoe's, fishing boats. Join a exciting beaver safari or book our Land Rover safari with knowledgeable guide. Treat yourself on a singing bowl massage for ultimate relaxation. Cuddle with our friendly animals on the farm. There are rabbits, tame sheeps, the goat 'Bruce', chickens and cats.
The surroundings offers Svartådalen's unique wetland areas, nature reserves as Hälleskogbrännan and Ekopark Öjesjönbrännan. You can join horse back riding, be a farmer for a day, visit Sala Silvermine, Haraker apple mustery, Skultuna brass mill and Västerås food & shopping.

Beaver safari - Land Rover safari and winter canoeing.

The camp fire crackles convivially and your guide talks inspiringly about the life of the beaver and its important key role in nature. The sun is slowely setting, the evening light is magical. Quiet and still do we paddle into the beaver realm with our canoe's.
We hear the white tailed eagle calling, cranes trumpetting and woodpeckers knocking. Just as suddenly there is only silence. Now only your own heart beat and water drops from your paddle can be heard.
We listen, we scout and there we see suddenly a beaver!
Together with your guide John de Jong, you paddle quietly and carefully across the Svartån to the realm of the beavers. Beavers benefits biodiversity and thus vital to our freshwater and environment systems!

Canoe rental
Do you like pulse and workout or do you want simply relax surrounded by peacefull nature?
Paddling a canoe gives you the opportunity for both exercise and relaxation. The beautiful and calm lake system is tied together by the meandering river Svartån and is therefore excellent for exploring by canoe.
The natural habitat of Svartådalen in Västmanland is a smile in this Swedish agricultural landscape. This area contains valuable bird-rich wetlands (Natura2000 - RAMSAR -
UNESCO Biosphere Reserve). This involves unique rich key biotopes and a fascinating biological diversity.
Paddle your canoe to the historical isle Braheholmen and visit Ebba Brahe's pavilion at lake Fläcksjön. You will get stunning views over the lake to picturesque Fläckebo. The historical isle Braheholmen and Ebba Brahe's pavilion is an unique point of interest that only can be reached with our canoes.

With the river Svartån in focus, you ride through a beautiful Swedish historic cultural landscape over charming paved and gravel roads.
Experience picturesque places and small villages. Visit the geographical center of Västmanland. Make short stops at Svanå manor, Haraker old saw mill with apple distillery & cafe, Sätra brunn with summer cafe Broare, Fläckebo with the Odendisa rune stone and pass along the beautiful bird-rich lake Rörbosjön.

Boat rental
Maybe the canoe feels a little wobbly to you? Our aluminum flat boats are excellent alternatives to explore the waters and are equipped with a quiet electric motor.
Challenge your fishing skills! However, the stable aluminium flat boat is also perfect for bird watching, nature photography and sound recording in the wetlands. Or make a picknick with your beloved one on the middle of lake Hällsjön. This is pure bliss!

Hiking
In the vicinity of Edens Garden, are many good hiking opportunities with marked hiking trails. We can give you suggestions for interesting hiking routes.
Hike the trails in hidden gems such as: Östringby-, Vitmossen-, Vinsjömossen nature reserves and Svanå's key bioptope. Hike in the Öjesjönbrännan Ecopark or Fermansbo's primeval forest. Explore various tracks in the Hällskogsbrännan nature reserve or hike longer day stretches on the Bruksleden.

If you stay with us at Edens Garden, you can book transport to and from the hiking trails. John drives you in his legendary Land Rover Defender 110. Costs SEK 18:-/km with a start fee of SEK 250:-. Maximum 8 passengers.
